Doll House
a stone pillar crumbling,
falling
eroding into insignificant dust
a pawn,
a marionette,
a clown for all to see
laugh at the clown,
make her sing and dance for us
jump through inferno hoops
dance to a meaningless tune
alas, poor souls
this clown has teeth
this clown has claws
surely, this clown will dance for us
dance upon the empty carrion
that her teeth have left of us
pull the gilded strings of the marionette
give her life
give her death
twist and torse her hollow body
alas, poor souls
this marionette has teeth
this marionette has claws
her hollow body will devour us
she will swallow us whole
we will emerge as insignificant splinters
play the pawn
sacrifice her to traitorous, tyrannical endevours
move her forward
then move her back
alas, poor souls
this pawn has teeth
this pawn has claws
inside the pawn is a black knight
the warrior that will fight with her last breath
with that breath, a vow of vindication
through self-made purgatory
through petty, feeble child's play-acting
the dust a-swirls
to mason the pillar anew
the pillar to a fortress
immovable
unconquerable
